- FILM LENGTH
The film repertory is made keeping in mind the interests of the viewer and how frequented the cinema is. The repertory of the upcoming week (up to Thursday) is announced on the Friday of the preceding week. Information on films being screened over the last week can be viewed here.
Pupils, students, senior citizens, members of the “Splendid Palace” Film Academy and persons with disability (Group I, II and III) are eligible for a discount for film screenings. Before purchasing the tickets, we ask that you show the relevant accreditation/ID card.
Discounts cannot be accumulated and do not apply to promo and special event tickets.
- CINEMA VISIT FOR PERSONS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Persons with special needs (people using wheel-chairs) have a separate entrance with a ramp; a lift is also available for visiting the small hall.
- ADMISSION FOR CHILDREN UP TO 3 YEARS
Children of up to 3 years do need require a separated ticket, if the child does not take up a separate seat and sits in the lap of their parent or guardian.
- AGE RESTRICTIONS
Film screenings that have an age classification can be visited by persons that have reached the stated age, as well as younger persons in the presence of their parents or guardian. Younger persons are not allowed to visit films containing the classification 18+ (up to 18 years of age – access denied). The employees of the cinema have the right to ask for personal identity documents, as well as to refuse sale of tickets, and to reserve the right to admission into the screening room of persons younger than the respective age restriction for the film.
The film classification of the “Splendid Palace” cinema is based on the film classification rules drawn up by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia.
- SPECIAL SCREENINGS
Please pay attention to the time when the SPECIAL SCREENING is to begin! In order to let the other visitors enjoy the screening, those who arrive after the beginning of the screening will not be allowed into the screening room.
- LOST ITEMS

- IS IT POSSIBLE TO RESERVE A SEAT FOR FILM SCREENINGS THAT ARE FREE OF CHARGE?
For events that are free of charge, seating is limited and making reservations is not an option, so please come to the screening in good time.
